ICROM 2024

The theme of the 3rd ICROM Conference in 2024 is “Religious Moderation and Its Responses to Humanitarian Crises.” This theme was chosen to enable conference participants, including academics, intellectuals, policymakers, and practitioners, to discuss how religious moderation can solve various ongoing humanitarian crises. The selection of this theme also reflects the implementation of previous ICROM conferences. At the 1st ICROM (2022), the conference focused on developing religious moderation in the digital space, covering various issues, activities, and community groups.

In the 2nd ICROM (2023), participants’ attention was directed towards how religious moderation, as a set of values to foster tolerance and nationalism, was tested in addressing the diversity of beliefs in public spaces. Building on these previous conferences, the 3rd ICROM aims to provide a broader platform for the public from various backgrounds to share their thoughts on religious moderation and to examine its capacity to respond to humanitarian issues.
